Immigrant Hope – Wyoming Idaho is a non-profit organization located in Jackson, WY. We have been approved by the Department of Justice to offer honest, low-cost legal advice and representation in U.S. immigration law.

Services

Naturalization –  Citizenship through naturalization is the manner in which a person not born in the United States voluntarily becomes a U.S. citizen. After being a Legal Permanent Resident for 3 years (if through marriage) or 5 years a person can apply to become Naturalized.

Legal Permanent Resident: To be eligible for a green card you must qualify through a family members, through employment, as a refugee or asylee, or as a special immigrant category (see link below) Permanent resident status provides individuals with the privilege of living and working in the United States permanently.

Legal Permanent Resident Renewals: (Green Card Renewals) – A Permanent Resident Card (Green Card) is issued to all permanent residents as proof that they are authorized to live and work in the United States. You should renew your Green Card if you are a permanent resident and your card is valid for 10 years and is either expired or will expire within the next 6 months.

Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) New and Renewals – DACA was an executive action enacted by President Obama in 2012 which enabled individuals who came to the U.S. as children (before age 16) and meet several key guidelines to request consideration for deferred action. Recipients are eligible for work authorization and are shielded from deportation. The work authorization is valid for two years and must be renewed.  On December 7, 2020, A U.S. federal court ordered the full restoration of the original DACA program.  New applications are being accepted.
